VetMed Research Opportunity: Wet-lab

Dr. James Weger is currently looking for a motivated undergraduate student with some background in biology and chemistry to participate in research involving the evolution of mosquito-transmitted viruses in different environments. Activities will depend on level of experience, if any, and will include nucleic acid purification, cell culture, molecular cloning, mosquito rearing, and potentially virus infections. With time these could expand to more advanced techniques. Some lab maintenance/cleaning will also be expected.
