VetMed Research Opportunity: Bioinformatics

Dr. James Weger is looking for a motivated undergraduate student with some background in biology and chemistry to participate in research involving the evolution of mosquito-transmitted viruses in different environments. The student would also know either bash, R or python languages and feel comfortable doing basic tasks in them. Activities will include data parsing, next-generation sequencing data analysis, plotting data, and possibly writing programs. You will work closely with biologists producing data and may have a chance to learn wet-lab techniques if desired, this is not required however.
