NIMML Research Opportunity Spring 2018
The Nutritional Immunology and Molecular Medicine Laboratory (NIMML) is looking for students with various backgrounds from science to business for research in spring 2018. Located at the Biocomplexity Institute of Virginia Tech, you will be working under the direction of Dr. Bassaganya-Riera and Dr. Hontecillas, and gain hands-on experience. NIMML’s focus areas include infectious, immune-mediated and chronic inflammatory disease, drug development, and nutritional immunology, with the overall aim of combining computational approaches with pre-clinical and clinical experimentation to translate new biological knowledge into safer and more effective medicines for human diseases.
Specific background areas include, but are not limited to: Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management and Marketing
