Have an idea you would like to explore but don't feel you have the skills to lead yourself through it? Want to develop creative skills outside your norm? Join students from across Virginia Tech for one night of creativity and collaboration with the entrepreneurial spirit.
When: Friday, November 3rd, 6:00pm-11:00pm
Where: 2nd floor of the New Classroom Building
When you first show up, you'll write your skills and interests on sticky noes with your name on the back, letting you meet, ideate, build, learn, and create with others.
Sticky notes will be placed on a big wall. As you create, innovate and build throughout the night, if you find yourself needing help with something, simply walk up to the wall, find the skill or interest you need help with and we'll call out the name on the back and introduce you.
Have a hard time remembering what makes you awesome on the spot? No worries, others will be ready to help you through the process!
This year's workshops include:
LEGO - Play with Legos and explore insights in problem solving, collaboration and communication.
CLASS CODE - Learn to build your own website; no experience required
"WE SUCK AT ART" - Explore your artsy side with origami, knitting, and more.
LOGO BUILDING - Introduction on how to design logos and the tools you can use to do so.
MIT APP INVENTOR - Learn to build an app; no coding experience required.
IDEATION - A workshop focused on how to find and begin to solve problems
MUSITECH - Use DJ equipment to spin awesome electronic tracks that can hit all the feels.
