Yale Summer Interdisciplinary Research Training Across Biology, Physics, and Engineering
Are you a rising Junior or Senior interested in interdisciplinary Biology, Physics, and Engineering Research? The Yale NSF/REU site is accepting applications for the 10 week, summer 2018 research program. Selected students will be matched with Sackler/Interdisciplinary Research Training Across Biology, Physics, and Engineering (Sackler/IGPPEB affiliated faculty advisors based on research interests, prior research experiences, and available openings.
Should you choose to participate:
You will be at Yale Sunday, May 27 - Friday, Aug 3, 2018
You will be given financial support of $5,500 for the 10-week period. In addition, it will cover your travel expenses up to $500 and provide a food allowance and free room and board on Yale’s campus.
You will be involved in a variety of enrichment activities. These include a series of workshops covering laboratory procedures, documenting laboratory results, delivering compelling presentations, and discussing scientific ethics and the process of applying to graduate school.
You will have the opportunity to showcase your research during a poster session held at the end of the summer
Because work/life balance is as important as a diligent work ethic, your research will be balanced with some social activities, such as a welcoming picnic and a cricket match.
