Yale Summer Interdisciplinary Research Training Across Biology, Physics, and Engineering

Are you a rising Junior or Senior interested in interdisciplinary Biology, Physics, and Engineering Research? The Yale NSF/REU site is accepting applications for the 10 week, summer 2018 research program. Selected students will be matched with Sackler/Interdisciplinary Research Training Across Biology, Physics, and Engineering (Sackler/IGPPEB affiliated faculty advisors based on research interests, prior research experiences, and available openings.

Should you choose to participate:

  • You will be at Yale Sunday, May 27 - Friday, Aug 3, 2018

  • You will be given financial support of $5,500 for the 10-week period. In addition, it will cover your travel expenses up to $500 and provide a food allowance and free room and board on Yale’s campus.

  • You will be involved in a variety of enrichment activities. These include a series of workshops covering laboratory procedures, documenting laboratory results, delivering compelling presentations, and discussing scientific ethics and the process of applying to graduate school.

  • You will have the opportunity to showcase your research during a poster session held at the end of the summer

  • Because work/life balance is as important as a diligent work ethic, your research will be balanced with some social activities, such as a welcoming picnic and a cricket match.
