2017 Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium

Where: Rice University in Houston, TX
Registration closes: October 10, 2017
(though extensions are available provided they are requested prior to October 10th)
The Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium (GCURS) is hosted by Rice University in Houston, Texas. GCURS is a forum for undergraduate researchers to present original research discoveries. Participants will give individual presentations in a 10-12 minute PowerPoint format, rather than the more common poster session.
Subject areas in which research will be considered include:
Bioengineering
BioSciences
Chemical + Biomolecular Engineering
Chemistry
Earth, Environmental + Planetary Sciences
Electrical + Computer Engineering
Materials Science + NanoEngineering
Mechanical Engineering
Physics + Astronomy
Systems, Synthetic, + Physical Biology
The last Virginia Tech student to participate is now at Rice University pursuing his Ph.D.!
Interested students should register online at: gcurs.rice.edu
You will need to also submit a one-page research abstract by October 10, 2017.
Deadline extensions are likely to be granted if the student asks for the extension prior to October 10, so they can be included in the count.
There is no fee to register, meals will be provided on the day of the symposium.
