Computer programmer for biological data analysis
What to learn how to apply your programming skills to questions in the life sciences? This position is a good opportunity think beyond your discipline, building a set of skills which could strengthen your ability to explore, independently, your own research questions.
Virginia Tech’s Biochemistry department is looking for a student who can provide script/program for biological data analysis. Proficiency in Python or Perl and R are preferred, but not required. They DO require that you have experience maintaining Linux software and hardware.
This is a part-time position of 10 to 20 hours a week and is paid ($15/hour max, depending on experience).
